Power of Hope Community Organization
Dear Power of Hope;
We are incredibly grateful for your continued support of The Emily Murphy Centre! Your gifts of p.j’s, blankets, pillows, toys and hygiene items are so greatly appreciated. Your generosity means the world to us and you are an integral part of making what we do such a success.
As you are aware, second stage housing plays a vital role in a community’s response to woman abuse by providing opportunities for women to begin thoughtful handling of important decisions that affect their own lives and the lives of their children. Our community supporters are crucial to our success and the success of our clients. Today, 17 women and 22 children are safe in our program and reaping the benefits of supervised play, accessing children’s programs, getting clothing and supplies for school, and receiving proper nutrition through meal assistance. You, and people like you, make that all possible!
Again, thank you! I hope that you know what a difference you make to the lives of the women and children here. On behalf of the Board of Directors, staff and clients at EMC, I wish you all the best for this season and in the new year.

Hello Penny and supporters
I wanted to thank you for the gift of a new night gown, socks and toothbrush. It was such a surprise to receive a gift from your organization. I often see donations come in at Christmas for the children but rarely see anything for the ladies. It certainly brought a smile to my face and joy to my heart.
Please know that your good work makes a difference!
Dear Power of HOPE,
My name is Steven, I’m 6 years old and wanted to say thank you for the pyjamas and Teddy Bear that I got from you on Christmas day. I was so happy, I sleep with my bear all the time and named him Buddy. I don’t have a brother or sister so he is my buddy. My mommy is writing this for me and she is very happy too, she got new pajamas, socks & a toothbrush from you too.
My name is Gloria, I must tell you Penny, your organization sure put a smile on my son’s face Christmas morning and mine too. I lost my job back early October and being a single mom, I am having a hard time making ends meet. With your generosity and vision you are making a difference in our community, I have been on your web site and have told people about your organization, please keep up with the good work you do.
I will keep in touch maybe I will be able to volunteer to help others too this year.
