Welcome to Power of HOPE Community Organization
Power of HOPE Community Organization is a registered not-for-profit organization that helps families in the communities of Waterloo Region, Wellington County and Perth County.
Through the generosity of friends, families, local businesses and fundraising event donors, HOPE is able to provide essential items needed by low income families, children and women in crisis. Some of the items donated include pyjamas, toileteries, towels and soft toys. If you would like to donate, view the list of items needed.
HOPE has helped a number of organizations in the community, including Michael’s House, Women’s Shelter, Food Bank, Women in Crisis, Saint Monica’s House and Big Sisters Little Sisters. HOPE has brought joy to others in many ways. View thank you letters from many of the recipients.
HOPE became a not-for-profit organization in 2011, but it all began back in 2005 with Hurricane Katrina. When Penny heard about the desperate need for the bare essentials for families who had lost, not only their homes, but all their possessions, she went into action by collecting items she could send to the devastated families of New Orleans.
